Highlights of Tour :
This is the day when you arrive at the land of spirituality, India. Welcome to our bustling capital city. Upon arrival, you will be received with an Indian welcome and our representative will take you to your hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Your journey to India begins today. After the breakfast, we will begin the tour with Old Delhi. This includes a visit to the Chandni Chowk, Jama mosque and Raj Ghat (Mahatma Gandhi’s creamation ground).
After taking a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, we will take a tour of New Delhi, driving along Rajpath, Parliament House, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar, India Gate & Birla Temple.
As the sun sets down, we will drop you back at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Next morning embarks the beginning of your spiritual tour of India as we will leave for Calcutta after breakfast at the hotel. Here, we will be spending 3 days exploring and experiencing the mystical energies of some of the most amazing Ashrams of India.
Belur Math (Sri Ramakrishna) : The ashram represents the very core of the spiritual realizations of the seers and sages of India. Sri Ramakrishna’s whole life was an uninterrupted contemplation of God. He is believed to have reached to the depth of consciousness.
Yogoda Satsanga Math (Paramhansa Yogananda) : In the hundred plus years since the birth of Paramahansa Yogananda, this beloved world teacher has come to be recognized as one of the greatest emissaries of India’s ancient wisdom. His life and teachings continue to be a source of light and inspiration to people of all races, cultures, and creeds.
Additionally, we will cover other spiritual sites in Calcutta, including the Kalighat Kali Temple, St. Paul’s Cathedral Church, The Mother House Of the Missionaries Of Charity (Mother Teresa), Jain Temple and many others.
On Day 6, we will depart from Calcutta to the holiest city in the world, Varanasi. This is center of spirituality on earth. Located on the banks of the sacred Ganges River, this magical city is inundated with a vibe of mysticism. Upon your arrival, our representative will meet you at the airport and drop you to your hotel.
In the late afternoon, we will visit several local sites across the city, followed participating in the holy Aarti Ceremony in the evening.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Early in the morning, you will be on a sunrise boat cruise on the Ganges, exploring the ghats of Varanasi. You will be presented with the incredible tableau of multitudes of devotees paying homage to the Sun God.
This cruise will be followed by breakfast at the hotel, and then a walking day tour of the old city. In the evening, we will visit Sarnath, the place where Buddha gave his first sermon. While there, you will visit the Sarnath Museum, the oldest site museum of Archaeological Survey of India. As the sun goes down, you will be returned to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
In the morning of Day 8, after breakfast at the hotel, we will fly to Khujraho, the religious and political capital of the Chandela Dynasty. Upon arrival, our representative will take you to the hotel. For the rest of the afternoon, you are free to relax and enjoy the beautiful hotel grounds, restful atmosphere, and spa services.
After an early dinner, we will enjoy a fabulous sound & light Show on the grounds of the western complex and gets ourselves acquainted with the history and culture of the temples in the city.
Overnight at the hotel.
This morning starts with a visit to the Western group of temples. The Western group contains the largest and the most mesmerizing temples of the area. In this group, the Kandariya Mahadev temple, dedicated to Shiva, will be a major attraction. With its elaborate 100-foot-high spire and bands of beautiful carving, it represents Chandela art at its best. Kandariya Mahadev shares a high terrace with the older and simpler Devi Jagadamba temple. This is followed by lunch and shopping at the local market.
In the afternoon, we will visit the main temples in the Eastern group. These temples may be somewhat modest and less ornate than the western temples, but their architectural style reflects the simplicity that is ingrained in Jainism. During the late afternoon break, you will enjoy the traditional Indian tea with Chai Masala with light snack/dessert options. After this, you can enjoy some personal time for walking, contemplating and meditating around the Eastern Complex. We will then drop you back at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
The 10th day takes us to Jhansi, stopping en route in Orchha to visit the medieval city founded by Bundela rulers. Orchha is full of beautiful palaces and temples built in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries that have stood the test of time remarkably well.
After this, we will continue on to Jhansi to board the train to Agra, the last capital of the Mughal Empire and home of the one and only Taj Mahal. Upon arrival in Agra, you will be greeted by our representative, who will drop you to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Now comes yet another significant parts of the trip: The Taj Mahal. We will start this day by heading straight to this amazing wonder of the world early in the morning. After you’re somewhat done being wonder-struck by the beauty of the Taj, we will start with the picture session all around the place. Don’t worry, by the time we’re done with the shooting, there will be no spot left to click.
After lunch, we will visit the majestic Agra Fort, just across the river Jamuna from The Taj Mahal. It houses the beautiful Pearl Mosque and many other noteworthy structures. In the afternoon, you are free to relax, shop or explore the city. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel , we will be on our way to Jaipur, famously known as the pink city. You will experience this amazing city with all its beauty and mysticism. We will visit the city palace, Jantar Mantar, the palace of winds- Hawa Mahal, and much more. Overnight at the Hotel with some free free time to relax and explore the city.
Next day we will drive to Ranakpur. As we arrive, you will be taken to the hotel for check-in and relaxing as you get absorbed by the energy of this special place. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
On day 14, this spiritual tour to India takes you to the historic city of Ranakpur. Set in a remote and peaceful valley, Ranakpur is the site of the largest and most beautifully preserved Jain Temple in India. The play of light and shadow on the minutely carved figures offers an effect that tantalizes the senses. By evening, we will drop you back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
This day will mark the end of the most beautiful chapter of your spiritual journey. We will take you back to the capital city and drop you to your hotel/ the airport and will wait for your next trip to the magical land of India.
