Upon your arrival at the Mumbai International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. At the hotel, you will receive an Indian-style welcome with Aarti-Tikka and garlands. Relax for the day and get ready for your unforgettable trip to India!

After you get ready in the morning, we will take you for an hour full of boat ride across the Mumbai Harbour towards the lush green Elephanta island in Navi Mumbai. Here, we will visit some the finely and intricately carved Elephanta caves that date back to the 8th century AD. We will pass through the rows of massive columns that lead to the outstanding three-headed sculpture representing Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver and Shiva the Destroyer. 

In afternoon, we will be back for lunch and a sightseeing tour of Mumbai– the great port city which is renowned for its Victorian Gothic buildings from the British Raj Era mingling with the modern skyscrapers of the 21st Century. The tour includes visits to The Gateway of India, the Towers of Silence, Marine Drive, the Colaba Causeway and the Dhobi Ghat. 

In the later part of the day, we will be on our way to the Malabar Hill to enjoy the lovely ‘Hanging Gardens’ and the Kamla Nehru Park, from where you will get a wonderful view of Mumbai and massive the Arabian Sea spread out in front of you. Additionally, we will visit Mani Bhawan, a small museum dedicated to the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi, and the bustling Crawford Market. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast in the morning, you will transferred to the airport from a flight to Cochin. Upon arrival, our representative will meet at the airport and escort you to a local restaurant for lunch. Post lunch, we will drive to Periyar.

As we arrive at Periyar, you will be taken to your hotel for check-in. After this, we will enjoy the Cardamom Hills of the Western Ghats that sprawl across an area of 777 sq. kms. After this, we will visit Thekkady, one of the largest wildlife reserves in India. Explore the exotic flora and vibrant wildlife of India surrounded by breathtaking hills.

Later, we will take you to Spice Village Resort, which is situated just outside the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. This unique and deluxe village resort is set around a spice garden with 37 cottages of thatched roofs that blend well with the surrounding greenery. As the sun goes down, we will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Early in the morning of day 4, you will be enjoying a boat cruise on the lake of the famous Periyar wildlife sanctuary to further explore the beauty of its wildlife. Periyar is home to wild elephants, Asiatic deer, black bucks and tigers.

After this, we will take you back to the hotel for breakfast, followed by a guided walk around the Spice Village to see the wide range of spices grown in the resort garden. Thereafter, we will drive through the winding Ghats that are lined with prosperous tea plantations and fascinating countryside of low-lying palms and paddy fields of Kumarakom. While en route, we will also visit the tea estates. 

Kumarakom is a beautiful backwater village on the shores of the enchanting Vembanad Lake, criss-crossed with meandering waterways and ancient cottages. A holiday in Coconut Lagoon comes with a promises of being different from any other. Every Tarawad (cottage) you stay in is at least a century old, reconstructed piece by piece in accordance with ancient rites of carpentry. You can relax at the waterfront, or enjoy the native row boat gliding. Overnight stay at the hotel.

The morning of day 5 begins with a relaxing time at Coconut Lagoon, taking a cruise on the backwaters in traditional country canoes to see the agricultural activities of the local people living in the area. Following that, we will visit the beautiful bird sanctuary in Kumarakom. 

Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, we will take you to the traditional rice boats – Kettuvallam, where your journey through the picturesque backwaters and small lakes begins. Get ready for a relaxing experience in the tranquillity of Kerala’s beautiful scenery. Experience the way of life and activity of the local people and enjoy stay in a one bedroom house with a lounge. Meals will be served with freshly bought produce from the local markets and cooked on board. Overnight on board.

The day starts with a refreshing breakfast on board as you sail to Alleppey and arrive at Puthenangady Jetty. As you reach there, you will be taken to Mararikulam, which is one of the most picturesque fishing villages that dot the lovely coastline of Kerala. This private, shallow beach is fringed with unending lines of coconut palms. Rest of the day will be full of leisure and local activities in the Resort.

After breakfast in the morning at resort, we will be on our way to Cochin. Popularly known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea, Cochin is the oldest place of European settlement in India. Frilled with backwaters and rich with the charm of medieval era, this city has lured many a great voyagers to its shores. 

As you arrive in Cochin, our representative will take you to the hotel for check-in. The tour of Cochin begins with visits to several local destinations. The city has welcomed Arabs, Chinese, Dutch, British and Portuguese seafarers, who have left their impression around the town. Modern Kochi is thus a splendid mosaic of these myriad influences. We will visit the Dutch Palace, a Jewish Synagogue, the Church of St. Francis, the Bolghatty Palace and the famous Chinese fishing nets.

In the afternoon, we will take you to a Harbour cruise. The backwaters extending to the east & south from the harbour are dotted with tiny islands, formed naturally by alluvial deposits from the rivers. As the sun is about to sat in the evening, you will be enjoying the local Kathakali dance performance and make up demonstrations. Kathakali is a unique folk dance with more than 100 different ‘mudras’ or gesture depicting deities, demons, heroes, heroines and kings – each based on the episodes from the Mahabharata and Ramayana, two of India’s most renowned epics. After this, we will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After check out at the hotel, our representative will take you to the airport for a flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival in Mumbai, you will be taken to the hotel for check-in. Rest of the day will be full of  leisure where you can enjoy the facilities of the hotel. By evening, we will transfer you back to the International airport and bid you adieu as you travel back home with a treasure trove of memories.
