Ladakh

Land Of High Passes

Ladakh is a region in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir that currently extends from the Kunlun mountain range to the main Great Himalayas to the south, inhabited by people of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent.

Spectacularly jagged, arid mountains enfold this magical Buddhist ex-kingdom. Colourful fluttering prayer flags share their spiritual messages metaphorically with the mountain breeze. Prayer wheels spun clockwise release more merit-making mantras.

Placed at the base of the mighty Himalayas and the Karakoram mountain ranges, Ladakh boasts of owning a varied yet picture-perfect landscape. It is an ideal destination for honeymooners, family vacationers as well as adventure enthusiasts.

You can enjoy the pure lakes, rivers, snowy peaks, wildlife, adventure sports, ancient monasteries, the wooden handicrafts, the food, interact with warm locals, handwoven woolens and much more.
